EXPIRATION GUIDELINES :

Cleanser 1 year
Cream/Moisturizer 1 year
Oil-based foundation 18 months
Water-based foundation 1 year
Concealer 1 year
Lipstick 1-2 years
Mascara 3 months**
Powder 2 years
Shadows 3 years
Brushes Wash every 2-3 months in mild detergent
Sponges Wash weekly, discard monthly

*Note: The aforementioned listing is to be used as a guideline only. If the product that you’re using contains medicinal or unstable ingredients such as the case with sunscreens, acne creams and vitamin-derived or enhanced formulas, then be sure to consult the package directly.

**Re : mascara - Do NOT pump the brush in and out of the tube before each application -- this will create air bubbles and make your mascara clump when applying.

Brush Away Flaws...

You should always apply concealer with a brush. It creates a much more natural finish than your fingers, plus it gets into the shadowy corners that fingertips just can't reach. Professional make-up artists often apply concealer to the back of their hand and dab the brush against it to take on only small controlled amounts at a time. Try this trick, then apply the concealer only where you need it.

Hint: To conceal under eye circles, brush the concealer into the shadows avoiding any puffiness that surrounds the eye. Applying concealer to the puffiness itself is a common mistake that actually enhances dark circles.

Dull, lifeless, brittle damaged hair?
If this scenario sounds familiar, then it could be a question of health, habits or genes. While you can’t change genetics, you can do a few things to change the rest:

The old adage “You are, what you eat” certainly has merit. Eat a healthy, well balanced diet, complete with hair-nourishing vitamins and minerals such as: Vitamin B, Zinc and Iron and you’re already off to a good start.
